OREANDA-NEWS  A four-month-old heifer named Michiye became the winner of the IV beauty photo contest among cows, she got the main prize - a 40-liter aluminum can, the artistic director of the house of folk art "Aartyk" named after A.S. Brodnikov Evdokia Arzhakova told RIA Novosti.

According to Arzhanova, for the first time the event was invented in the small Yakut village of Teley-Deering in the Churapchinsky district of Yakutia in 2019. The competition was timed to celebrate the Day of the Agricultural Worker. The jury determined the most beautiful burenka by the votes of the residents who came to the village club. In 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the contest had to be held on a social network.The organizers in 2021 wanted to take a swing at the All-Russian level. But in the end, the competition was held among Yakut cows and bulls. The winners of last year's contest, users of the social network identified twin calves in vests from the Tattinsky district.

"The fourth contest has collected a lot of photos of cows from the uluses of the republic. As the main prizes, we, the collective of the house of folk art "Aartyk", provided a 40-liter aluminum can and a plastic trough for manure. This year, a 4-month-old heifer named Michiye won the competition. It is kept by farmers in Megino-Kangalassky ulus. Traditionally, photos of our participants have been scattered all over the republic. People actively voted for the cow they liked," Arzhakova said.
