OREANDA-NEWS  A festive concert on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in the Indonesian capital Jakarta, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

On Friday morning, a festive concert dedicated to the Great Victory Day was held on the territory of the school at the Russian Embassy in Jakarta.

"It is probably only now, from a distance of eight decades, that we fully realize the true scale and greatness of our heroes' feat. We also have no right to forget that it was our people, no matter how our enemies are trying to distort and rewrite history, who freed the world from fascism, returned freedom and self-esteem to hundreds of millions of people in various corners and countries of the world," said Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Sergey Tolchenov, opening the event.

The concert was attended by several hundred people, including the heads of the diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan and Belarus.

During the concert, the guests were presented with songs and poems on military themes, as well as dance numbers. Young friends of Russia from Indonesia also performed dance numbers in front of the concert guests.
