The festive tree, painted in a yellow-red color scheme with balls, cones, bells, flowers, beads and snowflakes, is installed in the foyer of the first floor at the Shokhinsky staircase.
It is noted that the age of the spruce is 95 years old, its height reaches 27 meters, and the diameter of the trunk is 56 centimeters. From the seeds of the cones of the tree, they plan to grow seedlings to plant them at the place where the Christmas tree was cut down.
The search for the tree began in the summer. He was chosen from 62 "candidates", and 37 Christmas trees were shortlisted. The winner was determined by a special commission. As specified in the press service of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, a Christmas tree was chosen near the village of Ridges in the Volokolamsk city district of the Moscow region.
