OREANDA-NEWS  A textbook on family studies designed to strengthen traditional family values among young people will appear in Russia, the press service of the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Upbringing told RIA Novosti.

"The Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Upbringing and ANO "ABC of Family" will issue a manual for teenagers. Its goal will be to strengthen the traditional family values of young people," the message reads.

The timing of the appearance of the textbook is not specified. It is noted that schoolchildren and students of secondary vocational education institutions (SPE) will be able to find in this publication tips on building interpersonal relationships, as well as assistance in such issues as self-determination, the relationship of children and parents, childhood psychological trauma, the formation of healthy relationships between a guy and a girl, family values and much more.
"From the monitoring of the value orientations of young people, which is conducted by the Institute of Education twice a year, we, unfortunately, state a rather low desire to create a family and have children, which is a significant demographic problem.

Therefore, one of the main tools for implementing the education program for all levels of education are methodological manuals for parents and teachers, and for the SPO, family studies programs should become such. The draft of such a program has already been developed by the Institute and will now be tested," said Natalia Agre, director of the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Upbringing, whose words are quoted in the message.
