OREANDA-NEWS  More than a third of Russians (38%) are of the opinion that special dating sites and applications are harmful, according to a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation (POM) published on the website of the sociological center.

The most negative attitude to these resources are fellow citizens aged 31 to 45 years. Justifying their point of view, respondents talk about the risks of encountering fraudsters and false information.

In turn, one in five (21%) considers such resources useful, believing that they provide an opportunity to communicate and solve the problem of loneliness. Young people aged 18-30 (33%) are most often in favor of these resources.

According to the FOM, 15% of respondents consider such sites and applications to be equally useful and harmful, every fourth (26%) finds it difficult to say anything about this.

The survey was conducted on May 19-21 among 1,500 respondents aged 18 and over in 104 localities of the Russian Federation, in 53 regions.
