OREANDA-NEWS Two-time world champion in figure skating Evgenia Medvedeva and dancer Ildar Gainutdinov have officially registered their marriage. The athlete told about this in an interview with Svetlana Bondarchuk on the YouTube channel "Light around the world".

Medvedeva confirmed that the painting has already taken place, and the main wedding ceremony is scheduled for August 29. According to the figure skater, initially the couple wanted to hold a wedding on August 7 — she liked how this date sounded, and Gainutdinov insisted on an odd number because "he likes odd numbers."

However, at the hotel where the celebration was to take place, they were advised to choose a date closer to autumn so that the guests could arrive: on September 1, everyone would already be in Moscow after the holidays, so they ended up staying on August 29.

The engagement of Gainutdinov and Medvedeva became known on November 11. They took part in the Stardance show on TNT together.

25-year—old Medvedeva is a two-time world and European champion. At the 2018 Olympic Games, the figure skater won two silver medals - in the team competition and in the individual competition. In 2021, she announced that she had effectively ended her career. 24-year—old Gainutdinov is a soloist of the Todes show ballet. He also participated in projects on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater.
