OREANDA-NEWS. One of the screenwriters of the American animated series «The Simpsons» David Richardson died on January 18 of heart failure at the age of 65. According to «Deadline», until recently, he worked as an executive producer on the fifth and final season of the Netflix adult animated series «C Means Family».

Richardson began his career as a television comedy writer in 1985. In addition to «The Simpsons», he worked on the series «Empty Nest» (1988-1995), «Malcolm in the Spotlight» (2000-2006), «Two and a Half People» (2003-2015). The widow of the screenwriter will have to raise her own 12-year-old twin sons Arlo and Atticus, as well as his son Wayne from a previous marriage. Richardson was diagnosed with cancer about 30 years ago.
