OREANDA-NEWS  The total fees of domestic cinema for the winter holidays increased by 30% compared to the funds collected for the same period last year, and amounted to 3.3 billion rubles. This was reported on Wednesday on the website of the cinema Fund.

"The total box office of Russian films for the period from December 30 to January 8 amounted to 3.3 billion rubles, foreign cinema-1.2 billion rubles the Share of Russian cinema at the end of the new year holidays amounted to 72.9% of the total attendance of cinemas in the country", - said in a statement.

According to the film Fund, during the winter holidays a year ago, the revenue of Russian films amounted to 2.5 billion rubles.

In the current festive period, 12 million viewers preferred domestic films, which is 2.6 million people (or 26.6%) more than in the last new year holidays.
