OREANDA-NEWS  More than half of Russian students believe that universities need to have specialists in their staff to provide free psychological care, according to a survey conducted by the university's analytical center "Synergy".

"More than half (53%) of the Russian students surveyed believe that universities need to have specialists in their staff to provide free psychological care... 38% find this unnecessary, and 9% found it difficult to answer," The newspaper writes.Ru" with a link to the survey results.

According to the publication, the main task of psychologists at universities is to help students cope with stress before important events, including exams, 49% of respondents adhere to this point of view. According to 27% of respondents, psychologists are needed primarily to assist students in solving personal problems related, for example, to relationships, anxiety or low self-esteem. The remaining 24% see professional and career counseling as the primary task of psychologists.
