OREANDA-NEWS  Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel, said that she was looking for fried locusts in China at night with Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia. She shared the story in an interview for the Chinese portal "Guancha", a recording of the conversation is available on Rutube.

According to Simonyan, this happened about 12 years ago during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China. "All the events have already ended, and in the morning we had to fly out, and Dmitry Peskov and I (...) At night we went to look for fried locusts. And we found her in a block, in a very simple cafe," she recalled.

The journalist added that they were brought a huge plate of fried locusts, and they ate it all. She noted that she really likes Chinese cuisine.
