OREANDA-NEWS  Theaters and concert venues in Moscow participating in the experiment of selling tickets and visiting institutions upon presentation of an identity document have adapted to the new rules, Alexey Fursin, head of the Moscow Department of Culture, told Interfax.

"For this purpose, serious training has been carried out both by the institutions themselves and the ticket systems. This is a lot of work with the audience, with the capacity of the institutions themselves, to inform and explain the new rules of attendance. Delays before the start of concerts and performances, if there were any, were no more than the standard 8-10 minutes," Fursin said.

He also noted that the department watches daily statistics on the number of viewers in all institutions.

"We can now see that the number of visitors in the first quarter of this year is higher than it was in the first quarter of 2024," he added.

The new rules for visiting theaters and concert venues under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Department of Culture began to operate on March 15. Now, when buying a ticket, you need to enter information about the viewer, and to enter a theater or concert, you will need to provide an identity document along with the ticket.

As previously noted in the Department of Culture, the new rules are aimed at improving the safety of viewers and strengthening the fight against unfair sales.

The new rules apply to the purchase of tickets for cultural and entertainment events - performances and concerts in theaters and concert venues subordinate to the Department of Culture, namely in 63 theaters and 36 concert venues.
