OREANDA-NEWS  Musicians who left Russia, Noize MC (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), Monetochka, "Porn Films", "Leg Cramped!" and 12 other artists recorded a collection of songs based on poems by Russian emigrant poets of the early XX century called After Russia ("After Russia"). The 16-track album appeared on January 13 at various venues.

"Samsara", "AloeVera", Nahum Blick, Tequillajazzz, RSAC, NAIV and others also took part in the recording of the album.

As indicated on the project's website, the collection is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first emigration from Russia, which took place in 1922-1923. The title of the album refers to the collection of poems written in exile by the poetess Marina Tsvetaeva, published in Paris in 1928.

"The album of songs based on the poems of the "unnoticed generation" is an attempt to bring their destinies closer to ours. Its beginning and ending are dedicated to the greatest poet of emigration, Georgy Ivanov," the description to the collection says.

The author and producer of the album Roman Liberov, whose words are quoted on the website, said that with this album the musicians wanted to turn to the experience of forced emigration a century ago in order to take it into account in our time. "I hope we managed to convey the rhyme of times through the century, and with it the roll call of trials, fears and — hope!" he added.

In December, RBC wrote that the concert industry in Russia lost 30% of domestic performers in 2022. According to him, due to cancellations and postponements of concerts this year, ticket sales services have already returned more than 500 million rubles to the audience. The main reasons for the decline are the departure of artists from Russia, who were able to collect large stadium and club concerts.
