OREANDA-NEWS  The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) said that the question of the participation of Russians in the voting of the Eurovision music contest in May 2023 remains open.

As explained by the official representative of the EMU David Goodman, the list of non-voting countries will be published next year. "The full list of non—participating countries that will be able to vote next year will be published closer to the beginning of this event," he said.

It is not yet known which citizens of which countries will be able to participate in the vote. "Only the audience from the states that are allowed to vote online, as determined by the Reference Group — the governing body of the competition, will be able to cast their vote," the organizers of the competition noted.

The EBU said that residents of countries whose representatives do not perform at the music competition will be able to vote for the participant they like.

Eurovision 2023 will be held in Liverpool. The competition has been held in the UK eight times. Of these, Eurovision took place in London four times. The event was also held in Edinburgh, Brighton, Harrogate and Birmingham.
