The Russian film distribution lacks about 50 films a year

OREANDA-NEWS It will take more than one year to stabilize the situation in the film distribution market, now cinemas lack about 50 films a year, Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova told Rossiya-24 TV channel.
"For example, now, it seems to me, there are not enough about 50 films a year for us to feel confident. We realized that we can live without American high-profile premieres who are not ours, who have left and who do not work. But, of course, it will take more than one year to stabilize the market situation. This is indeed the case," she believes.
The head of the Ministry of Culture clarified that the number of domestic films being released is growing from year to year, there are more "box office paintings", debuts and original films.
"For example, now, it seems to me, there are not enough about 50 films a year for us to feel confident.
