OREANDA-NEWS Russians rushed to North Ossetia for the New Year holidays, Interfax writes, noting that the demand for holidays in the resorts of this Russian region has more than doubled when compared with last year's figures.
At the moment, 70 percent of the total number of rooms is booked in the republic. The most popular category of rooms has become "standard", they are fully occupied.
It is noted that since the beginning of 2021, the demand for trips to North Ossetia has been growing.
In the first 8 months, more than 420 thousand tourists came to the republic, which is 20.2 percent more than last year. The number of tourists visiting day trips has increased 2.2 times.
