OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2011. Forbes Chinese version released 2011 Best Commercial Cities in Mainland China recently. A total of 100 cities were selected. 3 cities in Anhui Province appeared on the list, namely Hefei (27th ), Wuhu (52th) and Maanshan ( 92nd).

It is learned that the Forbes Best Commercial Cities List studied 654 cities in Chinese mainland. It collected and did research of basic data of about 129 cities whose GDP surpassed 43.6 billion yuan in 2010. 8 key indicators including the talent index, index of city size, operating costs index, consuming capacity index, economic vitality index, innovation index, passenger index and freight index were employed to reflect the dynamics and trends of urban development.

In this year's list, among 100 cities, the number of the cities in the Yangtze River Delta takes 33, remaining the same level as that in last year. A total of 14 cities in Central China entered this year's list, including 4 in Hunan, 3 in Hubei and Anhui respectively, 2 in Henan and Jiangxi respectively.

In terms of talent index, Hefei ascended to top 10 across the country, ranking 8th, surpassing Shanghai and Guangzhou.
