OREANDA-NEWS. January 05, 2012. The 2012 State Budget allocates 352.0 million UAH for procuring school buses to transport children living in rural areas. This is almost 5 times greater than it was allocated last year. This will enable to procure 986 school buses, out of which 43 ones are for children with disabilities.

In 2012, 233.2 million UAH will be allocated for publishing, procuring, storing and supplying textbooks for tertiary students, schoolchildren and students of vocational schools, and foster children of pre-schools. This is almost twice greater than the 2011 allocations.

The above funds will be spent for publishing books for grade 1 schoolchildren who will study under new programs; for republishing textbooks for schoolchildren in grade 5; for providing educational literature for students of special schools; for providing specialized books for students of vocational schools; and for printing the "School Library" series’ fiction for students of grade 10 to 11 of secondary and vocational schools.
