OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2016. Greater Hampton Roads has a new home for classic American design: the all-new Ethan Allen Design Center at The Shops at Hilltop in Virginia Beach.

More than a new location, it’s a new design experience, with an innovative display concept that showcases the company’s cutting-edge interactive design service. An open floor plan features design stations and large touchscreens that invite clients to work on their projects easily, side by side with any of the store's talented design professionals.

The Design Center, which opened its doors this week, marks a fresh direction for the 84-year-young brand. "This is an Ethan Allen some people may not recognize," says the company’s Chairman, President and CEO, Farooq Kathwari. "The products are relaxed and relevant, the technology on the floor is state-of-the-art, and the Design Center is located where it's easy and convenient for our clients to find us."

The Design Center incorporates hundreds of all-new designs in “shops” and inspirational room settings. The warm, friendly, creative, and experienced design team is on hand to answer questions, offer solutions, and make the design experience fun and easy. They'll help a little or a lot – whatever a client needs – and their services, which include in-store and in-home consultations, are free, as always.

Ethan Allen's move from its previous location on Columbus Street follows the recent retirement of Bert Crawford, of E.O. Crawford & Sons, Ethan Allen's longtime partner in the Virginia Beach area.
