The St. Petersburg plant Hyundai increased the production by 17% in the first half of the year

OREANDA-NEWS. The Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus plant produced 113.7 thousand cars for the first six months of 2017, which is more by 17% than in the same period of the last year. The company is working consistently in three production shifts, five days a week, reports the Hyundai Motor CIS press service.
Recall that in 2016 - 2017, Hyundai Motor invested additionally 11 billion rubles in its Russian production. The investments were aimed at modernizing the production capacities of the enterprise in preparation for the production of new models. Currently, more than 230 robots are involved in the production of cars at the plant.
In August of the last year, the plant in St. Petersburg began the production of the Hyundai Creta crossover, and in February of this year - the production of a new generation of Hyundai Solaris. In addition, on July 4th, the enterprise started the production of the new generation of KIA Rio. In total the plant plans to produce more than 220 thousand cars this year.
