The UAZ intends to increase the supply of cars to China

OREANDA-NEWS. Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant passed successfully the production audit from the official certification body «China Quality Certification Center» (CQC). The positive conclusion on the audit results allows UAZ to proceed to the next steps in the procedure for obtaining «Approval of the CCC vehicle type», which in the future makes it possible to organize export deliveries of the enterprise's products to the PRC without restrictions on the number of sold vehicles, informs the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.
Let's remind, UAZ has begun the first deliveries of cars to China in 2016. At the moment, UAZ plans to undergo certification in China of four models: Patriot, Pick-up, Hunter and Combi. By the results of successful certification in China, the Russian automaker expects to increase its sales in the country to several thousand cars per year.
As previously reported «AUTOSTAT», based on the results of six months of 2017, sales of UAZ cars in foreign markets grew more than twofold in the first half of the year and they reached 1911 units. The leader by export growth was the legendary SUV «Hunter», whose deliveries grew more than 3.5 times.
Significant growth of export deliveries became possible due to the restoration of sales volumes in the traditional for UAZ markets of the CIS and near abroad, as well as the expansion of the geography of supplies and the output of the automaker to new markets. In 2017, UAZ concluded a number of distribution contracts with partners from West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. During this period, supplies to such countries as Honduras, China, Liberia, Mali, Myanmar, Paraguay, the Philippines, Ecuador have begun. In addition, sales were increased at the traditional markets for the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant: shipments to Kazakhstan grew 3.5 times in the first half of the year compared to the same period of the last year, to Armenia - by 50%, supplies to Mongolia were resumed.
It should be noted that in the far-abroad countries the greatest interest from buyers is caused by UAZ cars «Patriot», «Pickup» and «Hunter». At the same time in the CIS countries and near abroad, the UAZ commercial range is more demanding.
