OREANDA-NEWS  A stone wool plant is planned to be built in the Zavyalovsky district of Udmurtia, the total investment is estimated at more than 1.5 billion rubles, the press service of the head and government of the republic reports.

The project provides for the creation of a production of basalt-based thermal insulation materials with a capacity of up to 30 thousand tons per year. Alexey Gryaznov, an entrepreneur from Udmurtia, plans to implement it.

A corresponding agreement was signed between the head of Udmurtia, Alexander Brechalov, and the entrepreneur on the sidelines of SPIEF 2025.

According to Gryaznov, the company will be able to provide materials for both new construction projects and reconstruction and overhaul of existing buildings in Udmurtia and neighboring regions.

According to Brechalov, the construction of the plant will reduce the need to import these products from China.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Alexey Gryaznov is the director and owner of Izhevsk Company Kanstorg LLC (active since May 15, 2000, wholesale trade for remuneration or on a contractual basis). He also owns 35% in Izhevsk-based LLC Kaspan-Teplo (active since May 2024, production of other non-metallic mineral products).

According to Kaspan-Teplo, the company received a net loss of 15.559 million rubles by the end of 2024.
