OREANDA-NEWS. Optical fiber fusion splicers are required to be able to connect optical fiber core wires with low connection loss as a basic performance. In order to reduce the occurrence of misalignment—one factor that can increase connection loss for optical fiber core wires—it is important to clean fiber guide V-grooves. However, it can be difficult to perform this necessary task.

These new products resolve this problem by using detachable fiber guide V-grooves. Since they are easier to clean, users can prevent connection loss from increasing, and can reduce fusion splicer downtime through performing regular maintenance.

The new lineup consists of two products: NJ001A for single-core fiber connections only, and NJ001M4 to support four-core optical fiber tape connections from single-core optical fiber.
