OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the market of new cars in Moscow in the first half of 2016, which covered the premium segment.

According to the study, during this time it was sold 24 thousand of such vehicles in the capital, which is less by 5% than the year before. Given the fact that for 6 months of the current year the volume of the capital market was 100 thousand units, it turns out that every fourth vehicle that sold in Moscow belongs to the premium segment.

Leadership among premium brands in Moscow is belonged to Mercedes-Benz, the market of which in January – June of this year was 6519 units, by showing a decline of 7%. The second place is occupied by another German brand - BMW, the result of which grew by 1% up to 5067 cars. The top-three of leaders is closed by the representative of Germany - Audi (4155 units; -2.5%).

The fourth and fifth positions in the ranking are occupied by Lexus (2551 units; + 24%) and Land Rover (1242 units; -33%), respectively. The top-10 of the capital market of premium cars for the first half of 2016 also included: Volvo (1196 units; -11,5%), Porsche (1003 units; -15%), Infiniti (931 units; -27, 5%), MINI (355 units; -12%) and Cadillac (314 units; + 61%).
