OREANDA-NEWS. On March 28, Rosneft held a presentation Neft on the company’s growing resource base, as well as plans concerning oil and gas production.

In 2007, Rosneft plans to increase its resource base by 138 million tonnes. The company planned to produce 92.3 million tonnes of oil in 2007, which means that reserves are being replaced faster than production is using them up.

In 2007, capital investments in oil and gas production will increase by 40% in comparison to last year. This is first of all connected to the work at the Vankor field, the gas program, especially at Purneftegaz and Yuganskneftegaz – which should result in 95% associated gas utilization – as well as growing energy capacity, in particular at the Priobskoye field.
