OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2007.  A traditional Subcontractor Day was held in MIRAX GROUP headquarters. For the first time its format was that of a joint training. Representatives of over 63 subcontractors attended the event.

Opening the meeting MIRAX GROUP Deputy CEO Mikhail Chizhenok said: ”We regularly hold such meetings with subcontractors to bring out positions closer and to better understand each other. We want to learn from you what impedes your cooperation with us”.

He said the corporation is rapidly developing, and the volume and pace of construction are heavily above the initial projects. The corporation portfolio currently has over 5.5 million square meters of erected and under construction estate. Most of the projects are unique and demand specific approach, skills and input.

“We want to create conditions that would allow our partners efficiently implement the concept of our corporation. That will allow to synergise our actions and reach the targets in minimal time and with minimal effort,” Chizhenok said.

The approach yielded its result: it was the first frank talk where the parties exchanged reciprocal remarks. Subcontractors seemed to be surprised that MIRAX GROUP took their remarks seriously and was ready to take them into account in future cooperation.

Top managers of the corporation – CEO Alexey Adikayev, Deputy CEO Artur Alexandrov and Andrey Kletsko, Vice-Presidents Stanislav Seroka and Dmitry Andreyev – communicated with subcontractors.   

At the end of the meeting subcontractors received a chance to attend the ceremony of awarding the ISO 9001 Management Quality certificate of MIRAX GROUP.

At the end of the event Mikhail Chizhenok said he was satisfied with the meeting. “We managed to make our partners comprehend the context of our work. It will be easier now to make joint decisions. Both we and they have to work to improve performance,” he said.

According to Artur Alexandrov, such events allow to hold direct dialogue with subcontractors and quickly resolve emerging problems. “It was the first trial balloon, which demonstrated the interest of subcontractors in such seminars. Thus, we can definitely say the experience will be promoted and developed,” he stressed
