OREANDA-NEWS. In January-September 2007, throughput of Vladivostok Container Terminal totaled 140,769 TEU (+32%, year-on-year), VCT announces according to Rosbalt.

The terminal handled 16,709 TEU (+33%, year-on-year).

Volume of export containers handled at VCT grew by 49% (from 37,151 TEU in January-September 2006 to 55,170 TEU in January-September 2007). In September 2007, VCT handled 6,659 TEU (+69%, year-on-year).

Import grew by 45%, to 51,552 TEU in January-September and by 65% to 6,479 TEU in September 2007.

In the 9-month period, the volume of coastal trade containers totaled 34,047 TEU (+1%, year-on-year). In September it fell by 24% to 3,553 TEU.
