OREANDA-NEWS. On October 15, 2007 Metropolitan of Omsk and Tara Feodosy has visited the office of the Management Company, reported the press-centre of Titan.

The cause of the visit was peculiar - the decision of the Patriarch of Moscow and of All-Russia Alexei to award Sutyaginsky Mikhail Aleksandrovich with the medal of the Saint Seraphim Sarovsky of the I Degree for attention to works on revival of the Cathedral Svjato-Uspensky in Omsk.

Feodosy has handed a medal over the medal to the general director of the Group of companies "Titan" and in salutatory speech has highly estimated his contribution to good business on revival of spirituality. The members of the Board of JSC "Group of companies "Titan" were also marked with the thankful letters on behalf of the Metropolitan of Omsk and Tara Feodosy.

In his reciprocal speech Mikhail Aleksandrovich thanked to Metropolitan for the honor rendered to him to be awarded with so high award, and noted, that he counts for his civic duty to support the initiatives on revival of the Russian culture, including restoration of historical monuments.

The revived Cathedral Svjato-Uspensky of Omsk - the relic of the Russian Orthodoxy, the pearl of the world temple architecture - was solemnly opened in July 2007. Consecrated in 1898, in 1935 cathedral was transformed into ruins. And now it is recreated on the historical place, in centre of the city. The temple was revived by the entire world - thousand people, companies from Omsk region and other regions have brought their contribution into construction and furniture of the cathedral. "Investsberbank" has paid bells, the power-generating company of Omsk has lead heat, NPO "Mir" and "Omskenergo" were engaged in the furnishing of the temple with electric systems, gold domes were made on the basis of company "Agropromstrojkomplekt".

The Group of companies "Titan" did not remain aside from this important for the history of the region event - the contribution of Titan was the creation of interiors of cave church, the central iconostasis and iconostases of the side-chapels of Maria Magdalena and Nikolay Chudotvorets.

Seraphim Sarovsky Medal.
It was founded by the definition of the apostolic Patriarch Alexei II and the Sacred Synod from March 25, 2004 in commemoration of the 100-anniversary of canonization of Saint Seraphim Sarovsky. With the medal are awarded monks, laymen, and adherents of Orthodoxy for the special contribution to business of revival of monasteries, temples, vicarial and church-public work. In Omsk Region owners of these gold awards are Metropolitan Feodosy and L.K. Polezhaev.
