On the “S.D.Tihov mine” according to plan of building of the first start-up complex before putting in operation of the first longwall face and commercial production of coal a term of 4,5 years is determined. Taking into consideration the volumes to be covered – 28960 metres of mine working with large cross-section – it is not a long term. Complexity of work is connected with heterogeneousness of surface layer, so called alluviums, loams can occur by drivage, which are inclined to dulling, and begin to fall apart when interacting with atmosphere. Plus serious watering, which complicates slope sinking. With the help of well-boring a preliminary check was carried out, all properties of loams were determined, a special method of drivage of working collars was worked up, there were bored 14 dewatering wells. Boreholes are practically ready for start-up in conduit in process of construction. As mining progresses, surface pit heads will be constructed: ventilators of main ventilation, waste disposal plants, fire-prevention pumping station, water supply point, machine-shops, diesel locomotive depot, air-heater plant.
