OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2008. Nineteen honoured specialists of OJSC N.W.Telecom took part in the grand meeting and festive concert dedicated to the professional holiday of telecommunication workers of Russia, the Day of Radio, that were held in the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow. L. D. Reiman, Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation , greeted the attendees of the celebrations. In his complimentary address he congratulated all telecommunication workers upon the professional holiday and conveyed congratulations from President V. V. Putin.

And on May 6, 2008 traditional celebrations dedicated to the professional holiday were held in St. Petersburg. At 12 o'clock sharp the best workers of all branches of OJSC North-West Telecom gathered in the Atrium in Bolshaya Morskaya Street to accept well-deserved congratulations and words of gratitude.

On that day, at a special ceremony Vladimir Alexandrovich Akulich, the General Manager of OJSC North-West Telecom, gave the highest awards of the telecommunication industry on behalf of the industry's management to the best communication workers - - and Honorary Radio Specialist , as well as diplomas and official expressions of gratitude from OJSC N.W. Telecom for conscientious work and loyalty to the profession.

Besides the traditional awards, Company's employee Yelena Stepanovna Malyeva, Senior Specialist of the Telecommunications Control Department of the Petersburg branch, who had been the title of “Honoured Worker of Communications of the Russian Federation" by the Decree of the RF President of 19th November 2007, No. 1547, was given the state award on that day.

According to the established tradition, in the evening veterans of the communication industry, employees of OJSC N.W.Telecom and representatives of leading telecommunication companies – Rostelecom, Web Plus, Delta Telecom, Neva Kabel, PeterStar and other companies – gathered at the festive concert "The World is Always Connected" in the State Music Hall Theatre. A competition exhibition of the logos of the companies that participated in the concert became a special feature of the festive event. According to the conditions, the participant s could present their logos made of any material and using any technology, including holography or presentation in virtual space.

The evening ended in a fantastic pyrotechnic show and performance of the favourite singers Anjelica Varum and Leonid Agutin, actors of Vladimir Vinokur's Theatre and accordion player Nikolay Drang. Cheerful mood, smiles, meeting colleagues , a festive cake made this evening memorable for hundreds of guests of Music Hall.
