OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 June 2008 was announced, that BTA Bank LLP (formerly Slavinvestbank) for the first time participated in a state program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture GSM-102. BTA Bank has financed a client’s contract to import U.S. agricultural products to Russia to the amount of USD 4.1 million. The loan was extended for three years.

CoBank, ACB, Denver, U.S., is a financing bank.

Credit Commodity Corporation of the U.S. Department of Agriculture included BTA Bank into a list of Russian bank qualified for the Export Credit Guarantee Program GSM-102.

GSM-102 program supports imports of food and agricultural products from the U.S. to Russia and other countries and provides for a commodity credit to an importer with Credit Commodity Corporation as a guarantor.
