OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2008. ROSNO’s Rostov branch has paid an insurance compensation under the MOD contract for the stolen Mercedes Benz S430 in the amount of 1,487,630 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The car had been stolen at night near the hotel where its owner had stopped.

The car was purchased on loan issued by one of the major banks and insured in ROSNO in July 2007 against theft, damage and fire for 1,500,000 roubles. The car had been equipped with the satellite car protection system, which, unfortunately, proved to be of no use during the search.

This event was qualified as an insured accident. Criminal investigation of this case is under way. The major part of the insurance compensation has been paid to the car owner, with the remaining part being paid to the bank that had issued the loan.
