OREANDA-NEWS. On September 08, 2008 Microcredit Bank joint-stock commercial bank issued 130,000 plastic cards, a head of plastic cards department of Atabek Mirsoatov told UzA. About 42% of plastic card owners are farmers.

Mirsoatov said that the bank is carrying out to popularize this method of payment. He added that the bank installed about 100 additional terminals this year.

The report said transactions for 15 billion soums were carried out through these terminals in January-September, which is 2.5 times more year-on-year.

The bank pays interest rates at the level of 20%.
