Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina Strengthens Bilateral Relations
OREANDA-NEWS. On September 09, 2008 President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus received Mr. Dr. Nikola Spiric, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reported the Official website www.president.lt.
President Adamkus gave to Mr. Spiric an invitation for the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina to visit Lithuania.
According to the President, the relations between the two countries become increasingly strong. “Now that we have good political relations, we must also strengthen our economic cooperation,” President Adamkus said.
Lithuania's President underlined that Lithuanian businesspeople were active investors in the Western Balkan markets, particularly Bosnia and Herzegovina. “The increasing Lithuanian investment in your country shows that our entrepreneurs can work efficiently not only in the neighbouring countries but also in the attractive markets of Western Balkans,“ the President said.
According to Bosnia and Herzegovina's Prime Minister, the countries need to develop their bilateral economic relations further and to create bilateral legal base favourable for business. “Lithuania's business is very much welcomed in Bosnia and Herzegovina,“ Mr. Spiric said.
