OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2008. Pridneprovskaya TPP of Dneproenergo has produced 500 billion kilowatt per hour of electricity since its commissioning in 1954. On November 8, 2008, it became the fourth thermal generation facility in Ukraine to have got past a 500 billion electricity generation point, reports the press-service of the thermal power plant.

Currently, the installed capacity of Pridneprovskaya TPP is 1765 MW. The plant provides electricity and heat for the city of Dnepropetrovsk and Dnepropetrovsk Region.

‘For further stable operation of the plant and increase in electricity generation it is planned to re-equip energy generating unit No. 9 and electric precipitators at unit No. 1 in the next 5 years. Investments will total UAH 412m,’ said the Director of Pridneprovskaya TPP, Yuriy Peresypkin.

Required capital expenditure will be ensured among others due to the investments of Pavlogradugol and Komsomolets Donbassa Mine. In 2008-2012, these investors are going to allocate UAH 1bn for the reconstruction of the fixed assets of Dneproenergo and UAH10m for the development of the Company’s social infrastructure.
