ROSNO Pays One Million Roubles for Burnt-Out Country House
OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2009. ROSNO’s Ural directorate has paid a private client an insurance compensation under the property insurance contract in the amount of one million roubles for the burnt-out country house, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
The wooden house with the area of 50 sq.m. had been insured under the country house insurance program "Podvor’e". The insurance contract had provided indemnification against the following risks: fire, explosion, burglary; unlawful third-party actions, natural disasters; broken glass, and rescue costs.
The fire started in the evening in the bathhouse located on the land plot, springing from the pre-bath dressing room. The Fire Safety Supervision Department has established that the reason for the fire was the short-circuit in an electric switch. The resulting fire has completely destroyed the insured country house, as well as the bathhouse and auxiliary installations, which had not been insured. The blame for the fire has been laid on one of the homeowners, who went fishing in the evening while failing to turn off the light in the bathhouse.
The insurance compensation equalled one million roubles — exactly the insurance amount under the house insurance contract. The owner’s costs of acquiring the insurance policy had been just 8,200 roubles.
