OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2009. Muganbank OJSC has made a decision to take complex measures aimed at upgrading its IT infrastructure.

The Bank informs that upgrade of IT infrastructure is linked with growth of both a range of services and number of served customers.

“For renewal of IT infrastructure Muganbank has announced a tender procedure that involved companies IBM and HP. The Muganbank’s tender commission studied the offered projects and selected IBM as the tender winner. IBM was to prepare technical recommendations on upgrade of Bank’s software-hardware complex. The suggested solution is long-term protection of capital investments in IT, increase reliability of Bank’s IT infrastructure, allow cutting of costs on management and service,” the Bank said.

The project was developed on the basis of IBM System X and IBM System Storage.

“For high-quality service of IBM hardware platforms the personnel of Muganbank’s IT Department passed special courses in the IBM authorized training centre. Company Caspel, an IBM business partner in Azerbaijan, will carry out full integration and realization of this project,” the Bank reported.
