OREANDA-NEWS. On March 05, 2009 the Belgorod regional Arbitration Court pronounced validity of the decision and determination of the Belgorod Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (the Belgorod OFAS Russia) regarding retail sellers of oil products in Stary Oskol, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. 

According to the decision made by the Belgorod OFAS Russia, "Oskolneftesnab" CJSC and "Stary Oskol Petroleum Storage Depot" Ltd. violated Article 11 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (which prohibits competition-restrictive agreements or concerted actions between economic entities).

The Commission of the Belgorod OFAS Russia discovered that in the same period "Oskolneftesnab" CJSC and "Stary Oskol Petroleum Storage Depot" Ltd. were fixing and maintaining in a coordinated manner the retail prices for oil products sold through petrol stations in Stary Oskol, the Belgorod region, without any objective reasons for such conduct.

Following its decision, the Belgorod OFAS Russia issued determinations to the companies on stopping the actions that were in breach of the antimonopoly legislation. The violators were imposed fines for the overall sum of 6.5 million Rubles.
