OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 May 2009 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow intend to develop parking facilities for cars and buses with an approximate capacity of 5,000 vehicles in Sokolniki park.

“It is planned to create car parks and bus bays with the total capacity of 4,820 parking spaces at the entrance to the park territory,” a source from City Hall said.

The parking facilities will be located along the periphery of the park and linked with the outer highways by the exit roads. They will be developed in the asphalted areas, the utility zones to be rearranged and the areas occupied by the non-core objects. The underground parking garages will be built in Sokolniki as well.
