OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 June 2009 was announced, that Moscow International Airport Domodedovo presented its point of view on the development of east-west traffic flows issue during the second international “EU – Russia: airlines cooperation” conference that was held in Vienna.

Domodedovo representative conducted his presentation during the Airline Commercial Cooperation Session. The speaker analyzed possible ways of the EU-Russia air transport market development.

On the example of Domodedovo airport he looked upon the problem of direct and transfer passenger traffic growth and offered solutions, highlighted the issue of air transport market liberalization and the influence of competition on its dynamic development. The delegates were also presented the achievements of Domodedovo during the last 10 years and its development strategy.

Domodedovo airport specialist was invited as an expert to participate in the panel discussion on “State regulations in Russia and the EU: influence on airlines and airports”.

The international conference “EU - Russia: airlines cooperation” is aimed at bringing the points of view of Russian and European carriers on current issues concerning air transport development closer together.

Representatives of various companies from Austria, England, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Russia, USA, the Ukraine, Finland, France, Switzerland, Sweden. Amongst participants of the conference were top managers of such airlines as Air France / KLM, AirBaltic, Austrian Airlines, fly LAL / Avia Solutions Group, Blue 1, Lufthansa, Malev, SAS, Swiss, TAP Portugal, Utair, "Severstal", "Aerosvit", "Aeroflot cargo", "Aeroflot – Russian airlines", "Volga-Dnepr", "Polet".

Participating in various international events allows Domodedovo to broaden the range of business contacts, exchange best practices with leading airports and increase the level of services of the international aviation industry.
