OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2009. JSC Halyk Bank has been awarded the prestigious award of the authoritative financial magazine Euromoney in the “Best Deal of the Year” nomination.

Halyk Bank received the award in the “Best Deal of the Year” nomination for the issue and placement of Eurobonds in the amount of USD 500 million on 9 April 2008. The deal was well received in the market accumulating order book from 136 investors from 29 countries.

Since the beginning of the second half of 2007, the placed Eurobonds were the first public deal among Kazakhstan banks, as well as the first public deal for a private sector CIS bank.
