OREANDA-NEWS. On August 27, 2009 The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko declared the Gov’t will further overall support of the national aviation domain. She disclosed in the course of a meeting with representatives of enterprises of aviation area of Ukraine held at Kharkiv state-owned aviation production enterprise in the framework of the working trip of the Head of Government to Kharkiv region.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted that aircraft enterprises of Ukraine had passed over the peak of the world financial crunch with dignity while certain enterprises had even increased their productive capacities, reinforced their collectives and continued entering world markets.

The Prime Minister views that Ukrainian aviation branch has all possibilities to produce 7 aircrafts by the end of current year. At this, Yulia Tymoshenko informed that in the course of 2008-2009 Ukraine had produced two planes: “These are our plans, they will be financed and I consider there won’t be any failures”.

Moreover, she noted that the two leaders of production – Kharkiv state-owned aviation production enterprise (KSAPE) and Kyiv AVIANT “unfortunately, haven’t succeeded in work over the recent years” not because of lack of state support but through the work of former managers. “Nowadays the two plants have received strong, professional, reliable leaders,” Yulia Tymoshenko opined and added it would facilitate fast development of the enterprises.

The Premier said that despite the crisis complete restructuring of debts of the mentioned enterprises to the tune of almost UAH 3 billion was held today. Yulia Tymoshenko informed that Ukreximbank had received government notes at the sum of almost UAH 1.5 billion, the process of their monetization is on “and now we are getting to the stage of financing of production development and returning to a serial production of planes”.

Yulia Tymoshenko confirmed KSAPE demonstrated significant progress in work. According to her, over the last three months the plant has gained new machines, new equipment and the production cycle was improved.
