TATNEFT Redesigns Trunk Products Pipeline
OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2009. TATNEFT now works on the redesigning the Trunk Products Pipeline "Nizhnekamsk — Almetyevsk — Kstovo" included into the system of OAO AK Transneft. The aim pursued is to increase the transport volume of diesel fuel in connection with the construction of the refineries and petrochemical plants TANECO complex in Nizhnekamsk, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
The scope of work under a contract with AK Transneft includes the construction of the head pumping station in Nizhnekamsk, laying of a new 33 km long and 377 mm diameter branch to the existing product pipeline "Naberezhnye Chelny – Almetyevsk". Close to Kazan the route of three sections of the 530 mm diameter line with the total length of 28 km will have to be shifted to bypass settlements Imenkovo and Mokryie Cournaly and the Kazan international airport. Further a new route 123 km long has to be laid to cover the section "Vorotynets – Kstovo" in Nizhny Novgorod region.
The Customer/Developer under the State contract with the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation is Transneft. It is worth mentioning that the contract also provides that TATNEFT on the instructions of the Customer will construct a 118 km long crude oil trunk pipeline for TANEKO, which will connect the crude pumping station "Kaleykino" (Almetyevsk region of Tatarstan), which is also part of the Transneft system, with the future complex. The general contractor of the trunk pipeline and the product pipeline is OOO Glavneftegazstroyservis Management Company established in 2006 as a result of the construction units of OAO Tatneft withdrawal into the external service complex. The amount of more than 12 billion rubles has been allotted for both projects from the Investment Fund of the Russian Federation.
