Centravis Announced Strategic Priorities
OREANDA-NEWS. October 2, 2009. International holding Centravis establishes three strategic priorities: development of highly technological manufacturing in a framework of the project business, reduction of products prime cost through production modernization, promoting trustworthy relations with clients with an accent on their individual demands satisfaction.
For the last years big players on the market of seamless stainless tubes faced the choice: either to keep competing with Asian manufactures in the segment of cheap products, or to make the main accent on a more expensive highly technological production. Centravis made a choice in favor of raising complexity of production. This decision presupposes:
— development of the project business, when individual demands of every new client have to be taken into account;
— production facilities modernization;
— production prime cost reduction, first of all in target highly technological segments.
The strategy of the holding’s development is to be realized within 5 years and has been implementing by Centravis for about 1 year. Positive results of this choice the company began to realize in February-March 2009. Then the whole industry suffered from a substantial reduction of orders for standard products. At the same time project business remained almost on the same level. Today Centravis makes 45% of complex tubes and 55% of standard products.
