Sviaz-Bank to Open 1 bln Rubles in Credit Lines to Omsk Region
OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. Sviaz-Bank has been announced winner of a public auction for the right to be awarded government contracts to make loans to Omsk Region, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.
The total price of all government contracts to be awarded to the Bank amounts to 1billion rubles. The Bank will open five credit lines to Omsk Region for a term of one year.
Omsk Region is viewed today as an area attractive for starting up business and making investments. The region’s advantages making it attractive to investors are its favorable geographic location, its developed transportation system, its modern manufacturing plants, science-intensive technologies, and its significant labor force. In June 2009, Moody's Investors Service international rating agency gave Omsk Region a Ba3 credit rating on the international (global) scale, and an Aa3.ru rating on the national scale (with a “stable” rating outlook).
Sviaz-Bank commercial bank was established in 1991. It holds General License No.1470 from the Bank of Russia. The Bank operates a network of 49 branches in various regions of the Russian Federation. It has joined the mandatory deposit insurance system.
The Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank) State Corporation is Sviaz-Bank’s dominant shareholder.
Moody's Investors Service rating agency has awarded an E+ financial stability rating to Sviaz-Bank, and a B2 long-term rating for deposits in national and foreign currencies. Moody's Interfax Rating Agency has given the Bank a Baa1.ru deposit rating on the national scale. All the ratings come with a “stable” forecast.
