Nikolai Tsekhomsky Joins Barclays as CEO
OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. Nikolai Tsekhomsky joins Barclays as CEO, Global Retail and Commercial Banking, Russia, reported the press-centre of Barclays.
Nikolai joins Barclays from VTB (the second largest universal bank in Russia) where he has worked for the past four years as Group CFO. Nikolai has also been a member of VTB's Executive Board since 2007. Previously he has held roles in Mobile TeleSystems, Renaissance Capital, Brunswick UBS Warburg and Ernst & Young.
He has an MA in Production Management and a PHD in Economics from the St. Petersburg Academy for Engineering and Economics.
Nikolai's appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of Russia and is effective from 1 November, 2009.
