OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. Estonian Air will add flights to Vilnius and Kuressaare, discontinues flights to Helsinki on winter traffic season, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.
 
Starting from 16 November 2009, Estonian Air will increase the weekly frequencies between Tallinn and Vilnius to ten flights a week, by adding Monday and Friday evening flights.

Starting from 16 November 2009, the flight schedule between Tallinn and Kuressaare will be adjusted. The morning flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays will depart a half an hour earlier, leaving from Tallinn to Kuressaare at 7.35 and from Kuressaare to Tallinn at 8.40.
Friday evening flight will depart from Tallinn at 17.30 and from Kuressaare at 18.35.
 
Starting from 2 December 2009, Estonian Air will increase the weekly frequencies between Tallinn and Kuressaare to nine flights a week, by adding a Wednesday evening flight. The flight to Kuressaare will leave at 18.15 and back to Tallinn at 19.20.
 
Estonian Air will discontinue flights to Helsinki on the winter traffic season. The last flight to Helsinki is operated today, on 13 November 2009.
 
"The demand for direct links between Tallinn and Helsinki are covered with good flight connections and shipping traffic. Therefore, we see it is rational to focus on those routes were we can influence on improving the balance between supply and demand.

In addition, Estonian Air is aiming to maintain and develop fast air connections into most important destinations and European biggest hubs,” says Rauno Parras, acting Estonian Air Vice President Commercial.
