ROSNO Launches New Product for Sports Lovers
OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2009. OJSC IC ROSNO is launching the accident insurance program "NS-FizKult". The product has been designed for amateur sportspeople aged 1 to 60. The insurants can be private individuals or legal entities, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
Amateur sports exercises are accompanied with injuries as often as the professional ones. To provide insurance protection to those people for whom sports and healthy lifestyle constitute not a profession but a significant part of their lives, ROSNO experts have developed the insurance program "NS-FizKult".
The insurance contract contemplates indemnification against the following risks: partial or permanent loss of working ability (ascertainment of disability) or death due to accident, including the same during sports exercises. The insurance coverage applies to all sports activities without limitation.
The insurance coverage can be provided for any time period, from several hours to 1 year. The cost of policy depends on the insured period and the chosen size of insurance coverage. For example, in case of the 1-year insurance contract and the insurance amount of 100,000 roubles per each risk, the policy will cost its holder approximately 900 roubles.
"Recently, the Russians started paying more and more attention to developing a sporting culture. Numerous children’s and junior sporting projects are implemented with state financial support. To draw the Russians to sports exercises, authorities reconstruct sporting grounds and expand sporting facilities. According to the official data, as of 2008, the share of people naming sports as their leisure activity accounted for about 16% of the country’s population, and this figure continues growing. To take account of this trend, we have developed a product providing insurance protection to those people for whom sports constitutes not a profession but a part of their everyday lives. This product can be of special importance for those parents whose children go in various sporting and fitness sections. Sporting sections do not always provide collective insurance coverage for their members. In absence of such collective insurance, parents can insure their children on an individual basis. While, certainly, no policy can prevent misfortune, it still can help coping with the ensuing situation and obtain an insurance compensation corresponding to the nature of risk", comments on the new product Ms. Yekaterina Fyodorova, Deputy Director of the Product Analysis and Development Department of OJSC IC ROSNO.
