OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2010. Commerzbank, Germany’s second largest bank, presented Ukio bankas with the STP award. It is awarded for the excellent quality in processing international payment orders, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Ukio bankas was evaluated by this award together with other world’s banks that make international payments through one of Europe’s most important banks.

In the words of Rolandas Balandis, Board member and head of the International Banking Division of Ukio bankas, the award from such a large bank of Europe was earned for extremely accurate and consistent work of Ukio bankas specialists, which predetermined the fact that 99 percent of the international payment orders, prepared and executed by Ukio bankas, are subject to fully automated processing by the correspondents.

“The award given to Ukio bankas means a high evaluation not only of our bank but also of the entire banking system of Lithuania as our bank was rated along with all banks of the world that execute payment orders through one of Europe’s largest banks. It is also a significant signal to the bank’s clients who can be sure of the proper execution of their international payment orders that reach the addressees in time,” Rolandas Balandis said.

As maintained by him, Commerzbank is one of Ukio bankas most important correspondent banks in Europe and a big share of international payment orders of Ukio bankas clients is performed through it.
