OREANDA-NEWS. May 04, 2010. Bank CenterCredit (Almaty), listing on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release, reported the press-centre of KASE:

There are positive trends in the development of the banking system, and the number of such positive signals may bring quality. Bank CenterCredit is cutting credit rates to support and boost the Kazakhstan economy.

Bank CenterCredit is cutting minimum loan interest rates.

- The bank's current liquidity is KZT480 bn and compliance with requirements of the Kazakhstan guarantee fund in regard of deposit interest rate allows for active crediting on more client-friendly terms, - says bank chairman Vladislav Li.

On March 4, 2010 Bank CenterCredit changed interest rate on individual deposits. The maximum nominal rate in the national currency - 10 %, in foreign currency - 7 %, which is in compliance with limits introduced by the Kazakhstan guarantee fund.

The bank management sees much influence of the bank crediting on the national economy. This is why with more recovery signs and higher business activity on the market, the bank decided to make credits more accessible.

The following interest rates were cut:

Mortgage credits from 13 % (effective rate - from 13.9 %), secured consumer credits from 15 % (effective rate - from 16.6 %), unsecured loans from 21 % (effective rate - from 23.6 %), and other credit products of the bank.
