OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2010. The Bank of Moscow has provided its clients with an additional possibility to secure the making of payments in the Internet using the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode safety programs based on the 3-D Secure Technology.

The 3-D Secure Technology makes it possible to identify the card holder in the time of making payments via the Internet on-line: to make a payment the card holder has to enter a special password known to the card holder solely. To enter the password the card holder shall be re-directed to a special secured Internet-page of the Bank of Moscow. The Bank verifies the entered password on-line and informs the store of the verification result for the payment making.

“Paying for purchases in the Internet using the secured technology becomes more and more common service – 40% of the online stores use it already. To get hooked up to the safety programs one has to get a registration password in any ATM of the Bank of Moscow (“Services” menu). Having completed the registration procedure the client has to invent a password, which will be used for purchases in future. The participation in the safety programs is free of charge.
